From racing in historic venues to debuting innovative partnerships and engaging in thrilling on-track battles, this has been a year to remember. Making History
One of the highlights of the Formula One season is always the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. This year was no exception for the AMG® Petronas team, as Lewis Hamilton claimed his 104th career win. This was his record ninth British Grand Prix victory, which is the most by any driver at a single Grand Prix. Hamilton’s history-making year didn’t stop there, as he became the first driver to claim 200 F1 podiums by finishing third in the Hungary race.
Lewis Hamilton wasn’t the only Petronas team member on the podium this year. Over in Austria, George Russell claimed an impressive win. The team has accumulated 170 points en route to six podiums, three wins, and two pole positions in six races.
Debuting New Partnerships
The AMG® Petronas team's reach extends far beyond the track. The team collaborated with INEOS® for the 37th America’s Cup. They also debuted a groundbreaking partnership with WhatsApp®, highlighted by an unforgettable F1 car demo on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
