Mercedes-Benz is taking a large step to improving the charging experience for owners of the Mercedes-Benz electric SUV and sedan models. The automaker already boasts a variety of simple charging solutions, and starting in February 2025, Mercedes-Benz EV drivers have gained access to the extensive Tesla Supercharger® network across the United States and Canada. This integration provides Mercedes-Benz EV owners with a new level of convenience and flexibility.
Expanded Charging Options
Thanks to this exciting new partnership, Mercedes-Benz drivers will now have access to over 20,000 Tesla Supercharger® stations. This is on top of the already existing Mercedes-Benz charging ecosystem, which includes convenient options, like Mercedes me Charge™, a service that provides solutions through charging networks like Electrify America®, EVGo®, ChargePoint®, and more.
A Seamless Charging Experience
If you’re wondering how to use the Tesla Supercharger® network with your Mercedes-Benz model, the process couldn’t be any simpler. EV drivers will be able to enjoy the Plug & Charge™ functionality at Tesla Supercharger® stations. This advanced feature automatically initiates the charging session upon plugging in and seamlessly processes payments in the background.
To ensure that its vehicles are compatible with the Supercharger® stations, Mercedes-Benz will provide complimentary software updates for all its compatible vehicles. Drivers can also start the charging session with the Mercedes-Benz app or the MBUX® infotainment system.
Navigation with Electric Intelligence
The Tesla Supercharger® network will be integrated into the Mercedes-Benz “Navigation with Electric Intelligence™” system. This innovative feature automatically calculates the most efficient route, including charging stops, and provides up-to-date information on charger availability and pricing.
