The Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology is engineered to provide confident handling on all types of road surfaces and weather conditions. It will include an advanced 4MATIC® all-wheel drive system with independently controlled dual electric motors. The system also boasts a front-axle disconnect feature that can swiftly engage or disengage the front motor to optimize for either traction or efficiency. Meanwhile, a two-speed transmission on the primary rear axle drive unit further enhances the balance between quick acceleration and efficient cruising.
Cutting-Edge Battery and Charging Technology
The Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology will be built on a state-of-the-art 800-volt architecture, which is designed to provide long range and fast charging. The advanced battery cells use anodes with silicon oxide, which achieve a higher energy density for lighter weight and longer range. A premier battery variant will support DC fast charging.
Intelligent Heat Pump Providing All-Weather Comfort
The Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology will also include a sophisticated air-side heat pump, which efficiently heats the interior using far less energy than a conventional electric heater. It also preconditions the electric battery to the optimal temperature before a fast-charging session.
